New Orleans Comes Alive at Dining in the Dark: Bourbon Street Blues
(North Fort Myers, FL) – The Lighthouse of SWFL is pleased to host the 9th Annual Dining in the Dark event to raise much-needed funds for programs serving people with blindness and vision loss. Dining in the Dark: Bourbon Street Blues will be held on April 27th from 6 pm – 9 pm at the Collaboratory, located at 2031 Jackson St. Fort Myers, FL 33901, in downtown Fort Myers.
Dining in the Dark is a unique, sensory awareness, dining experience which gives guests a first-hand glimpse into the challenge of living with blindness and vision impairment. Throughout the event, guests will enjoy sensational jazz, lavish hors d’oeuvres, and dine on sumptuous New Orleans-inspired gumbo.
There will be opportunities throughout the evening to bid on beautiful baskets and silent and live auction items while enjoying Bourbon Street revelry and music from The Dixielanders jazz band. Proceeds benefit Lighthouse of SWFL. Tickets are $125 per person and are available at www.dininginthedarkswfl.com or by calling (239) 997-7797. The mission of the Lighthouse of SWFL is to enable people of all ages living with a visual impairment or blindness to remain independent, active, and productive in society.
